In February 2020, the KPMG event “M&A Radar: 2019 review and 2020 outlook” took place.
The main conclusions of M&A Radar: Ukraine.
- Ukrainian M&A for the third year running recorded a double-digit increase in 2019, 80 transactions totaling $ 2.35 billion, that is 29 percent more comparing to the previous year.
- M&A income increased more than twice, to $ 1.15 billion by 29 transactions, being ahead of internal agreements for the first time in recent time, although internal transactions were still the lion's share (60 percent) of the whole activity.
- Real estate, building and construction and agriculture remain the most active industries.
- Despite some obstacles, forecasts remain positive until 2020.
